Stuart, St. Mary's Have Strong Night At N-O Triangular

Two of the top teams in Holt County made their way to Neligh Monday night for the Neligh-Oakdale Triangular. They both returned home feeling good after spectacular performances.

The St. Mary's Cardinals took the opportunity to show their strength, going 2-0 on the evening. In their first match, they topped Stuart in straight sets, 25-19 and 25-19. In their second match, they took on the host school, dominating the match in straight sets 25-11 and 25-9.

Individual statistics for the Cardinals were unavailable.

For the Broncos, they held the game tight with St. Mary's the whole way through. As a team, Stuart recorded 41 digs, using their defense to keep the game close. Kennison Kunz led the way, recording 13 digs.

In their match up with Neligh-Oakdale, Stuart showed their ability to close in tight games, winning 25-20 and 25-22.

Harlee Fischer had a spectacular match for the Broncos, leading the way both offensively and defensively with her 12 kills, three aces and 11 digs. Kunz brought up 14 digs for Stuart while Alison Stracke was responsible for 10 digs of her own.
