 Holt County is among nearly three dozen counties in a severe thunderstorm watch throughout the evening.
The National Weather Service has issued the watch until 3 a.m. Among the counties in the watch are Antelope, Cedar, Knox, Boone, Madison, Valley and Wheeler.   The National Weather Service issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Northwestern Holt County until 10:30 p.m. tonight.
This storm can produce 60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail. Hail damage to vehicles is expected along with wind damage.   The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Holt County until 9 p.m. Wednesday.
At 7:59 p.m., storms were located along a line extending from 15 miles southwest of Burke to 12 miles northwest of Stuart to near Newport to 7 miles southeast of Long Pine, moving east at 45 mph. This radar-indicated storm is expected to have 70 mph wind gusts. Locations impacted include Atkinson, Stuart and Emmet. |
