The Stuart volleyball team got a little help in paying for offseason expenses from some local enthusiasts.
On July 1, the team hosted an adult sand volleyball tournament to raise funds for the cost of camps the girls attend throughout the summer.
"It was a beautiful day and it turned out to be a huge success," said coach Teresa Mustin. "We had 13 teams competing for the championship, but Ball Busters came from the losers bracket to take the championship and t-shirts home for the second year in a row."
The Stuart volleyball team was very appreciative of both the participants for their support and to Jerry Gubbels for the use of his tiller to help prep the courts.
