It was a clean sweep for the West Holt golf squad at Tuesday’s Niobrara Valley Conference meet at Summerland Golf Course.
In the team race, West Holt captured the league crown after shooting a 340 team score. Neligh-Oakdale claimed runner-up honors with a 358 and Clearwater/Orchard finished third with a 362. Elgin Public/Pope John placed fifth with a 390, Elkhorn Valley was sixth overall with a 413, followed by Niobrara/Verdigre (416), North Central (431) and Chambers/Wheeler Central/Ewing (437).
West Holt’s Garrison Hansen was the individual champion after carding a match-low 73. OC’s Gage Clifton took second with a 79, followed by N-O’s Austin Rice (82), EV’s Bryson Anderson (84), West Holt’s Austin Wenner (86), EPPJ senior Hunter Reestman (86), West Holt’s Max Roberts (87), Cyclone senior Ryan Wilhelm (87) and Boyd County duo Kody Roth (88) and Colby Hansen (88).
Other scores for the Huskies were Jaegher Ogden with a 94 and Jaxson Cadwallader with a 99. Jackson Butterfield scored a 100, Joesph Seger carded a 101 and Luke Olson had a 1138 for the West Holt junior varsity team.
Logan Sanford led CWC/E with a 101, followed by Hunter Tracy’s 107, Emily Kerpgeweit’s 114, Jordan Laetsch’s 115 and Kyra Farewell’s 127. Caeu Duba carded a 131 for the JV squad.
West Holt hosts CWC/E in the West Holt Invitational Saturday at 9 a.m.
