With the winter season officially over, several top athletes will begin collecting hardware for their stellar play from this past season.
Several athletes from Holt County earned all-Niobrara Valley Conference accolades.
West Holt senior Cole Liable was named to the first-team wrestling squad. Husky senior Jade Buss and St. Mary’s senior Cole Rosenkrans earned second team honors.
For boys basketball, St. Mary’s senior Grady Semin was named to the first team after a stellar season. West Holt seniors Jordan Tasler and Kooper Jelinek, along with Ewing senior Joey Wright and Chambers/ Wheeler Central junior Sam Jesse, were selected to the second team. CWC senior Justice Metschke, St. Mary’s freshman Aiden Hedstrom West Holt juniors Garrison Hansen and Logan Weineke earned a spot on the honorable mention team.
On the girls side, CWC’s Taylor Peter and Morgan Ramsey, Ewing’s Ashley Koenig and Brenna Wagner and West Holt senior Carlie Wetzel were selected to the first team. CWC sophomore Michelle Koenig, Ewing junior Sidney Stallbaum and West Holt senior Peyton Randolph were named to the second team. St. Mary’s senior Abby Hedstrom, Ewing’s Miranda Summers and Tiana Thramer, West Holt senior Leyton Mlady and CWC sophomore Ryann Haburchak were selected to the honorable mention team.
