High-Speed Chase In Stolen Vehicle Ends In Arrest Near Page

A man is facing multiple charges after alleged involvement in a high-speed chase involving a stolen vehicle on Tuesday afternoon near Page. 

According to a Nebraska State Patrol officer at the scene about 2 miles south of Page, the driver of a silver Chevy Lumina that was reported stolen from Woodbury County, Iowa, was arrested after a brief high-speed chase on Nebraska Spur 45-A. 

The officer said the stop originally was for driving 20 miles over the speed limit. The driver then failed to yield to law enforcement and a two-mile pursuit ensued. The vehicle malfunctioned and the driver was taken into custody.

The driver is expected to be charged with possession of stolen property, speeding, no operator’s license and driving left of center, according to the Nebraska State Patrol.
