Despite falling in a 2-0 hole to start the match, St. Mary's was not willing to let their state playoff hopes die at the hands of Chambers/Wheeler Central.
In a tightly contested match, the Cardinals were able to complete the comeback, winning the final three sets, 13-25, 24-26, 26-24, 25-12, 15-10.
Chambers/Wheeler Central was led by their usual suspects. Jacie Laetsch put down an incredible 29 kills, recorded five aces, two blocks and 28 digs in her efforts to put away the Cardinals. Regan Dierks was credited with nine kills, three aces and four blocks.
Freshman Taylor Peter put down seven kills of her own as well as four blocks and seven digs. Jordan Laetsch, not to be outdone by older sister Jacie, brought up 20 digs of her own as well as recorded an ace and three kills.
