St Mary's Cardinals Top Timberwolves, Take 3rd At State

Exeter-Milligan proved to be a worthy opponent in the state tournament, but stood no match to St. Mary's this afternoon at the D-2 consolation game at Lincoln Southwest.

After last night's crushing defeat by Wynot in the semi-final game of the state tournament, the St. Mary girls bounced back with momentum and set their sights on third place. The Exeter-Milligan Timberwolves put up a tough fight, but fell behind in the second half. After a hard fought game, St. Mary's came out on top 49-38, earning themselves one final win for the season and a third-place trophy.
