O'Neill Murder: Woman, 37, Dead After Stabbed Multiple Times

A 37-year-old woman died after being stabbed multiple times at an O'Neill residence on Saturday night. 

According to County Attorney Brent Kelly, at approximately 9 p.m., the O’Neill Police Department responded to the scene of a reported knife injury at a home in O’Neill.  

Officials from the Holt County Attorney's Office have confirmed the address of the incident as 320 E. Clay Street/

Shortly after law enforcement arrived, a 37-year-old Hispanic female and a 37-year-old Hispanic male were both transported from the scene to the emergency room at Avera St. Anthony’s Hospital in O’Neill.  

The female party was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital. The apparent cause of her death was multiple stab wounds caused by a knife. 

The Holt County Attorney’s Office has requested an autopsy. 

This matter is currently under investigation by the Nebraska State Patrol, O’Neill Police Department, and the Holt County Attorney’s Office. 

​No arrests have been made at this time, and the public is not believed to be in any danger relating to this incident.
