Eagles Soar Past Vikings For First Round Win

In a rematch of the week four showdown between O'Neill and Columbus Lakeview, an O'Neill victory, two teams entered the first round match up in O'Neill with hopes of making a run at the state championship.

For O'Neill, that hope is still alive.

The Eagles easily disposed of the Vikings Friday night, taking home a 45-20 victory.

Alex Thramer continued his interception-free season, completing seven of his 12 attempts for 111 yards and three scores. He also added 28 yards on the ground.

He was aided by a strong running game, led by Bailey Thompson's 202 yards and two touchdowns.

The win sets up a showdown with 8-1 Aquinas Catholic next Friday night in O'Neill.
