St. Mary's had all the momentum in the first half, but Wynot had different plans in the second.

The Cardinals led 22-14 at the half. Wynot came shooting out of the gates in the third quarter, tying the game up at 27 with about three minutes left in the quarter. St. Mary's regained the lead, thanks to a Brianna Bauer field goal. Another Bauer field goal made it 31-27, but that is when the Blue Devils kicked it into to gear offensively.

Skylar Arkfeld hit two free throws with about 6:30 remaining to give Wynot their first lead of the game. Hattie Blumenstock then made a couple free throws of her own to help the Cardinals regain the lead but it was short lived. Arkfeld drilled a deep 3-pointer to give Wynot a 37-35 lead and they held on to win 47-37.

Individual stats will be added as they become available.

The loss drops St. Mary's to the third-place game on Saturday against Exeter-Milligan. Tipoff is set for 3 p.m. at Lincoln Southwest.
