O’Neill FFA is going green and serving the community with help of Big Red Motorsports and Arctic Cat.

Big Red Motorsports awarded the local O’Neill FFA chapter $800 and the Nebraska FFA Foundation $200 as well.

Craig Smith and Sara Alder with Big Red Motorsports presented the chapter with the Arctic Cat grant.

“We are in the ag industry and want to promote future agricultural producers and agriculturalists,” Alder said.

O’Neill FFA Advisor Krystl Knabe said the chapter has plans to impact the local community through an ongoing agricultural project.

“We are putting up a greenhouse in a couple of months. It’s been an ongoing project.  We are planning on putting back into some tools that we are going to need,” Knabe said. “The greenhouse is going to be starter for the plants that we are going to put in the community garden. We need power tools and things like that we can purchase locally and put back into the community.”

Big Red Motorsports and Arctic Cat participated in the FFA Arctic Cat dealer’s chapter grant program through the National FFA Foundation for an opportunity to recognize and support chapters.

This fall, Arctic Cat launched the dealer chapter grant program to support FFA at the local, state and national levels. In recognition of each dealer’s contribution, a local chapter selected by the Arctic Cat dealer received an $800 check.

Molly Ball, National FFA Foundation President, said, “Through its chapter grant program Arctic Cat offers amazing opportunities and impacts FFA at all levels – local, state and national. Their support of FFA and its 629,367 members makes obtaining our mission of making a positive difference in the lives of our members possible.”
