As has been the theme of the season, the O'Neill Eagles offense was kicking on all cylinders Thursday night as they took down West Point-Beemer 43-7.
The Eagles produced both on the ground and through the air. They recorded 208 yards rushing and 227 yards passing to keep the Cadets on their heels all night.
Quarterback Alex Thramer was nearly flawless, going 13 of 18 passing for 227 yards and three touchdowns. He also added two yards and a touchdown on the ground.
Thramer's top target on the evening was Justin Appleby, who exploded for 106 yards on four receptions. He was on the receiving end of two of the Eagles' passing scores on the night.
Leading the rushing attack was a combination of Jake Young and Bailey Thompson. Young ran for 83 yards and a touchdown while Thompson added 81 yards and a touchdown for the Eagles.
The Eagle defense spent a lot of time in the Cadet backfield, recording six tackles for loss, including two from Jason Hahlbeck. Wyatt Liewer added an interception for the Eagles as well.
O'Neill now takes it's undefeated record on the road to a tough match-up with Norfolk Catholic next week.
