A new business can be found on 129 North 4 Street in O'Neill. Lisa Wright of O'Neill has been busy this holiday season with the launch of her boutique.

Boutique One29 is located inside the O’Neill Shopper and O’Neill Printing Company, where Wright is also the manager.

Since opening on Nov. 5, Wright said Boutique One29 has been very successful.  From the ribbon cutting and grand opening on Dec. 4 to a month filled with holiday shopping, Boutique One29 has been receiving some attention.

"We’ve had lots of traffic. There have been a lot of lookers and return customers. We've have also done several gift certificates for Christmas.  It’s been very positive."

Wright said that opening her own business is something that she has wanted to do for a long time.

“I worked at the flower shop for years here in town," Wright said. "When I first started working at the O’Neill Shopper, I brought in my own flower arrangements and sold them out of here.  I always thought that was something that I wanted to get back into.”

Wright also puts together custom flower arrangements with items available in her boutique.

"It's fun when someone comes in and asks for a personalized arrangement. That’s a huge compliment to have someone ask you to do something," Wright said.

Along with Wright's flower arrangements and Heather Jurgensmeier's artwork, Boutique One29 holds a treasure of unique giftware and home décor.  Wright said that her unique inventory changes every week.

"I really want to stress the unique part of it. I only have one or two options of each item available. I think people like that they are the only one who has that item," Wright said.

Wright said her inspiration for starting her own business stems from her family support.

"My sister-in-law owns the Town and Country Western Wear in North Platte.  She is the one who inspired me to start Boutique One29. She also sends some of her decor items here as well," Wright said.

Wright said she is thankful for the support of the O'Neill community and is excited about Boutique One29 for several reasons.

"I am most excited about just doing it.  Starting a business is something I have thought about for a long time. I have been wanting to start my own boutique. I love visiting with people whether they buy something or not," Wright said. "Home décor is a very personal thing.  What you like and what I like will be two different things."
