Funeral Services for Ruby Grubb

Funeral Services for Ruby Grubb, age 88, of Wessington Springs, SD, formerly of Chambers, will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday, July 24, 2015, at the United Methodist Church in Chambers. Burial will be in the Chambers Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, July 23, 2015, from 4-7 P.M. at Biglin’s Mortuary in O’Neill. Rev. Duane Waddle will officiate. Ruby passed away early Monday morning, July 20, 2015, at the Weskota Manor Nursing Home in Wessington Springs, SD. Memorials may be made to the family for future designation.

She is survived by 2 sons; Don Grubb and wife April of Wessington Springs, SD, Robert Grubb and wife Beth of Chambers, NE, 2 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 2 sisters; Earlene Moroney and husband Tuck of Grand Island, NE, Shirley Noble of South Sioux City, NE, one brother, Bob Jones and wife Neva of O’Neill, NE, one sister-in-law, Ethel Jones of Lexington, NE, and many nieces and nephews. Ruby was born on April 30, 1927, in Wilsonville, NE, to Edward and Mary Etta (Dueling) Jones. She married Franklin Ray Grubb on October 11, 1950, in O’Neill, NE; he passed away on December 21, 1999. They were married for 49 years.

Ruby was a homemaker, farmwife, and ranchwife. She was a member of Chambers United Methodist Church, and received her 50 year pin from the church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Ray, one brother, Jack Jones, and one sister, Esther Homolka.
