Funeral Services For Phyllis Dobrovolny Burch

Graveside Services for Phyllis Hall Dobrovolny Burch, age 100, of Newberry, SC formerly of O’Neill, NE will be 3:00 PM Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Atkinson, NE. 

Pastor Wayne Owens will officiate.  

Phyllis passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017, in Newberry, SC and Funeral Services were held in Newberry on Friday, July 28, 2017. 

Memorials may be given to the Eastern Star Home for Children in Fremont, NE. 

Biglin’s Mortuary of O’Neill is in charge of the local arrangements.

Phyllis Hall was born in North Bend, NE on August 20, 1916 to John and Viola (Hatch) Hall. Phyllis graduated from Scotia High School in 1934. On Christmas Day of 1935 she married Lawrence Dobrovolny at the Bower Ranch near Swan Lake. They lived Southwest of Atkinson, NE until 1948. They then moved North of O’Neill, NE to a ranch. To this union were born Larry and Melba. Lawrence passed away on February 25, 1993. She then married Benjamin Burch at Columbia, South Carolina on October 22, 1995.

She is survived by, husband Benjamin Burch of Newberry, SC, son Larry Dobrovolny and wife Betty of O’Neill, daughter Melba Wrede of O’Neill, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, sister-in-law Dorothy Kubart of Atkinson, NE.

​Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lawrence, Sister LaVerne Dobrovolny, brothers Lowell, Wayne, and Marvin, son-in-law Kenneth Wrede, infant grandson, In-laws, Frank and Marguerite Dobrovolny, Henry, Jay, Jesse and Mary.
