Funeral Services for Pearle Johnston

Funeral services for Pearle M. Johnston, age 87, of O’Neill, will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday, June 12, 2015, at Faith Community Church in O’Neill, with burial at the O’Neill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, June 11, 2015, from 6-8 P.M. with a 7:30 P.M. Prayer Service at Biglin’s Mortuary in O’Neill. Pearle passed away Saturday afternoon June 6, 2015, at the Midwest Covenant Home in Stromsburg, Nebraska. Memorials may be made to the O’Neill Golden Age Center.

She is survived by her 4 children; Quentin Johnston and wife Nancy, Jerry Johnston and wife Gwen, Jim Johnston and wife Lee, all of O’Neill, NE, and Twila Strong and husband Clayton of Grand Island, NE, 16 Grandchildren, 31 Great Grandchildren, 9 Great Great Grandchildren, and 2 sisters; Vivian Campbell of San Luis Obispo, CA, Mildred Anderson of Stromsburg, NE, and one Son-In-Law, Robert Tooker Jr., of Norfolk, NE.

Pearle was born on December 18, 1927, in Gresham, NE, to Foy and Marie (Bond) Rosenberry. She married Wesley Johnston on September 5, 1944, in Polk County, NE. Pearle worked as a salesperson at Caskey Furniture and as a Secretary at O’Neill Golden Age Center. Pearle liked her flowers and plants, and taking care of them. She is preceded in death by her parents, 1 daughter Rebecca Tooker, 1 Granddaughter Daphne Strong, and 1 sister, Edythe Heastan. Pastor David Johnston and Pastor Steve Randolph will officiate.
