Funeral Services for Marian Luber

Funeral Services for Marian Luber, 82 years of age, of O’Neill, will be at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at First United Methodist Church in O’Neill, with burial in the O’Neill Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 22, 2016, from 5-8 P.M., with a 7:00 P.M. Prayer Service at Biglin’s Mortuary in O’Neill. Rev. Gary Merritt will officiate.

Marian passed away peacefully early Friday morning, March 18, 2016, at Willow Brook Assisted Living Center in York, Nebraska.
Marian (Classen) Luber was born March 14th 1934 in Spencer, Nebraska to Margaret and Jacob Classen. She attended Spencer High School graduating in 1951. She attended Wayne State College for Two years and married her high school sweetheart, Marlen, June 20th 1955. They made their home in O'Neill.

To this Union four children were born and raised in O'Neill.

She had resided the past 7 years at Willow Brook where she made many dear friends and considered the staff and residents as extended family. She enjoyed life to the fullest and described herself as "the professional potato peeler and best back scratcher" at the facility!
Marian was an avid sports fan and did not miss watching a Cornhusker game of any sport on t.v. The Kansas City Royals were her favorite baseball team & she was ecstatic when they won the World Series!

Marian is survived by her 4 children: Carmen McKenny and husband Tom of York, Michael Luber and wife Annette of Grand Island, Mark Luber and wife Jan, of O'Neill and Bradley Luber and wife Jeanne of Lenexa, Kansas, 12 Grandchildren: Matthew McKenny and wife Kassie, Mark McKenny and wife Rachel, Michael McKenny and wife Alysa, Christopher Luber, Max Luber, Joshua Luber, Graham Luber, Joseph Luber, Rachel McKenny and husband Peter Bremberg, Hannah Luber, Jessica Luber, Paige Luber, 5 Great Grandchildren: Elyza and Abigail McKenny, Patrick and Amelia McKenny, Madeline Bremberg, 2 brothers; Paul Classen and wife Beth of Lake Jackson, TX, Joe Classen and wife Pat of Spencer, NE, sister, Joanne Ashcraft of Colorado, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents,
husband Marlen in 2008, James Classen, Robert Classen, Martha Pfeifer, and Marcelien Garrett.
