Funeral Services For Kevin Plugge
Funeral Services for Kevin Plugge, age 62, of North Platte, formerly of O’Neill, will be at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, August 20, 2016, at Biglin’s Mortuary in O’Neill. Burial will be in the O’Neill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M., Friday, August 19, 2016, at Biglin’s Mortuary in O’Neill.
Kevin passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2016, in North Platte, NE. Memorials may be made to the family for future designation.
Kevin Renn Plugge was born in Plainview, NE, on October 30, 1953, to Cleo Hoyda and Beverly Couch. He was adopted at the age of 4 by Walter Lee Plugge when he married Beverly. He graduated from O’Neill High School in 1971, then worked for the Putnam and Hobbs Ranches. On August 2, 1974, Kevin married Patricia Watson in O’Neill, NE. In 1982, Kevin worked for National Farms. He then drove truck for Shellhamer until he had an accident. Kevin and his wife ran Pat’s Deli in O’Neill for a time. In 1991, he started working for Sands Systems and later moved him and his family to Sutherland, NE. In 2007, he drove truck for Becker Farms, then in 2013, he worked for Smithfield as a Support Operation Manager. He retired in 2015 due to health reasons. Kevin was a member of the LDS Church. He loved to garden and he liked to work. He also enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Pat Plugge of Sutherland, 4 children: Kimberly Krol and husband Yancy of Stromsburg, NE, Shana Bryant of Sutherland, NE, Patrick Plugge and special friend Alison Bond of Omaha, NE, Avrielle Kohl and husband Gale of North Platte, NE, 13 Grandchildren: Joslyn, Jordan, Kylee, Shyenne, Hannah, Jennifer, Nathan, Lexi, Blake, Sophia, Wyatt, Morgan, and Mattaya, 2 Brothers; Scott Plugge and wife Helen of Bartlett, NE, Daniel Plugge of Norfolk, NE, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and adoptive father, daughter Sharla Plugge in 2015, son Matt Plugge in 2002, and one grandson, Logan Plugge, in 2002.
