Funeral Services For Jean Christiansen

Memorial Services for Jean F. Christiansen, age 64, of O’Neill, will be at 3:00 P.M., Sunday, May 7, 2017, at the First United Methodist Church in O’Neill, NE.  Memorial Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  

Inurnment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Atkinson.  

Pastor Gary Merritt will officiate.  Jean passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at her home in O’Neill, NE.  

Memorials may be made to the family for future designation. 

Jean Francis Christiansen was born on November 16, 1952, in Atkinson, NE, to George and Nellie (Truman) Christiansen.  She attended West Holt High School in Atkinson, NE, graduating in 1971.  She then moved to Omaha and went to Business School for 3 years.  She moved back to O’Neill in 1975, where she started working for St. Anthony’s Hospital in the Business Offices and as a Receptionist. 
Jean was an active volunteer at area car shows, as she loved old cars. She loved to go camping, and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her dog Bear.  Jean was also a member of the Eagles Club.

Jean is survived by her brother, Rodney Christiansen and wife Marcene of Wichita, KS, 4 sisters; Judy Dye of Norfolk, NE, Joyce Risor and husband Ray of St. Paul, NE, Janice McGuire and friend Vail of Ainsworth, NE, Jill Hipke and husband Wynn of Stuart, NE, and many nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.

​She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers; Roger and Frank Christiansen, and her dog, Bear.

I have fond memories of Jean from school and always enjoyed our visits at the hospital. I am sorry for your loss.
