Burial Services For Sharron Ann Zakrzewski

A Mass of Christian Burial for Sharron Ann Zakrzewski, age 76, of O’Neill, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in O’Neill with burial in the O’Neill Cemetery.  

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday, December 19, 2016 at Biglin’s Mortuary with a 6 p.m. Rosary.  

Sharron passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at her home in O’Neill. 

Sharron Ann Strong was born at home on a farm outside of Norfolk, NE on January 25, 1940 to Vernon and Annelene (Evans) Strong. When she was young, her family moved to O’Neill and she attended O’Neill Public Schools. 

Sharron married Tom Zakrzewski at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in O’Neill in 1962.  She was a devoted mother and worked as a dispatcher in the family trucking business for many years.  Sharron also worked at the Golden Living Center as a cook, a job which allowed her to spoil the residents with her home cooked meals.

Sharron enjoyed crafts of many types and had a flair for decorating that was evident throughout her home. She was an avid reader and a great cook. Sharron was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.

Sharron is survived by her loving husband of over 54 years, Tom Zakrzewski of O’Neill; her children, Natalie Ethington and husband, Jess, of O’Neill, Thomas “Tucker” Zakrzewski, Jr. of Omaha, Evan Zakrzewski of Blue Hill, Donald Nekolite of Montrose, SD, Dennis “Duff” Nekolite of O’Neill; Dan Nekolite and wife, Deb, of O’Neill, and Deb Schwartz of Norfolk; 18 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; her sister, Barb Barnes of Lincoln; and two nieces and a nephew.

Sharron was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Dianna Zakrzewski; one grandson, Mikey Nekolite; a granddaughter Ashley DeLong, and by her brother, Sam Strong.
