The O'Neill boys claimed the runner up title at their own cross country meet on Friday.
Nathaniel Jennings and McCoy Strong led the Eagles with 5th and 6th place finishes, 18:18.16 and 18:21.82, respectively. They were followed by Caden Moore in 17th (19:06.94); Oscar Lopez 20th (19:20.21); Ehric Strope 34th (19:50.85); and Cody Watson 36th (20:04.37).
The O'Neill girls finished third as a team with Whitney Watson leading the way. Watson picked up the 10th place medal with a time of 22:54.60; and Taya Rainforth was 13th with a 23:18.36. Hali Kloppenborg was 17th (23:44.17); Lilly Thompson 19th (23:47.79; Kadra Sommersted-Simmons 23rd (23:56.85) and Alexis Montes 31st (25:06.89).
Kira Dickau picked up the 14th place medal with a time of 23:21.39. Teammates Ariel Larsen and Breanna Fahrenholz finished 46th and 53rd, respectively. Coltin Schroder placed 12th in the JV boys division with a time of 22:17.25.
Ben Thiele earned 11th place with a time of 18:33.06. Other boys runners for the Huskies were Dennis McDermott 32nd (19:49.97); Brandon Heller 33rd (19:50.85); Brent Lemmer 57th (21:53.9) and Seth Miller 74th (24:54.9). For the WH girls, Alyssa Reiman was the top finisher in 22nd with a time of (23:50.71), followed by Lindee Wentworth 28th, Ashley Larby 30th, Naomi Troy 35th, and Emma Laible 44th.
Derek Mahony finished in 29th with a time of 19:45.93 for the Renegades.
