Nine Holt County Students Nominated For NSAA Award

Holt County students have been nominated as future leaders by U.S. Bank and the Nebraska Schools Activities Association. 

The NSAA announced Monday that nine Holt County students were nominated by their schools for the 2016-2017 Believers and Achievers award. 

To be eligible for the award, nominees must be seniors with a cumulative grade point average of 3.75 and participate in NSAA activities. The students also must be active in their communities and schools, as well as write a citizenship essay.

Of the nominees, 48 finalists were then chosen for the award.

Of the 48 finalists, eight will be chosen to receive a $500 scholarship to the college of their choice. The winners will be presented with their scholarship at a banquet in April.
