  Photo by Skip DeBusk Ashleigh Nelson, age 13 of Tilden, NE was crowned the 2016 Boots & Saddle Club Queen of O'Neill, NE on June 12, 2016.
Ashleigh is the daughter of Gary & Dawn Nelson of Tilden, the grandaughter of Don Carter, Linda Carter, & Ron Nelson, all of Tilden, NE and Karen Decker of Clarinda,IA. Ashleigh received her crown from the 2015 Boots & Saddle Club Queen Taryn Klabenes of Chambers. Ashleigh is an active member of the Boots, Bits & Buckles 4H Club in Antelope County. Ashleigh enjoys spending time riding her two horses, Max, a pleasure horse and Dillon, a barrel and ranch horse. Ashleigh is also active in the community for various organizations. Ashleigh will be entering the 8th Grade at Elkhorn Valley Schools this fall, where she will participate in Volleyball, Basketball, Track & Music. Ashleigh and her horse Dillon will be attending the Summer Fest Rodeo in O'Neill this Friday & Saturday at 7:30 pm to participate in the Grand Entry, as well as assisting in sorting cattle & signing autographs at the Meet & Greet as part of her community outreach for the Boots & Saddle Club, which hosts monthly horse shows throughout the summer.
