O'Neill, West Holt and Stuart will all be represented at the state cross country meet in Kearney next week.

Numerous Holt County runners earned an individual qualifying spot with a top 15 finish in their district races on Thursday, and the O'Neill boys captured the district runner up plaque to qualify as a team.

In the C-2 district at Albion, Whitney Watson was the lone qualifier for the O'Neill girls with her 11th place finish in 20:50.

The O'Neill boys had three break into the top 15:
5. McCoy Strong, 17:21
11. Nathaniel Jennings, 17:32
14. Caden Moore, 17:41

With the help of their teammates, Oscar Lopez (18:13), Ehric Strope (18:58) and Cody Watson (19:10), the O'Neill boys also qualified for state as a team.

In the D-4 district in Ainsworth, Kira Dickau of Stuart ran her way to a runner up finish and a trip to state with a time of 21:11.8.

West Holt runners also competed in the D-4 district and came away with three state qualifiers:
8. Alyssa Reiman, 22:14.9
10. Ben Thiele, 18:20.8
15. Brandon Heller, 18:49.7
