Coming off their worst season in quite some time, the Ewing Tigers volleyball team aims to rebound in 2016.

The Tigers were 5-20 in 2015, their first losing season in five years. With just three seniors and two juniors on the roster, Ewing hopes their youth doesn't work against them in 2016.

The Tigers will head to the Plainview Triangular September 1 for their first action of the season.

The Chambers/Wheeler Central Renegades are hoping for continued success in the 2016 volleyball season.

Led by coach Diane Kasselder, the Renegades were 17-10 in 2015. Kasselder has led CWC to three straight winning seasons and intends to see more of the same in 2016.

It's hard to imagine a season much better than 2015 for the Chambers/Wheeler Central/Ewing Renegades, but that's exactly what they are aiming for in 2016.

Led by coach Tom Thramer, the Renegades were 12-1 last season, with their lone loss being in the D2 state finals. While earning runner-up is nice, the Renegades will look to improve on that in 2016 as they move to class D1 as solid contenders for the state championship. With a combination of talented returning starters from 2015 and the addition of players from Ewing, the Renegades plan to make another deep playoff run.

The CWCE Renegades will make their season debut against Niobrara/Verdigre on August 26.
