Huskies Sweep Cyclones During Road Trip To Clearwater

Both boys and girls squads for West Holt came away with victories Friday night in Clearwater, albeit in much different styles. 

The girls were the victors in a close, physical game. They used a 12-7 fourth quarter to take a 42-38 victory over the Cyclones. Free throws opportunities were abundant for both teams, with three total players picking up five fouls each. However, the Huskies were able to hold Clearwater-Orchard to just 26 percent from the floor on the night with their stout defense.

In the boys game, the Huskies had no issues running away from the Cyclones in a 57-31 win. They used a 21-7 first quarter and a 15-2 third quarter to take the win in dominating fashion, allowing the Cyclones to shoot just 24 percent on the night. The Huskies also forced 21 turnovers on the night.
