Plans are set for a benefit auction on Tuesday, May 19th for Atkinson resident Lloyd Addison, who is battling cancer. A free will donation supper will be served from 5:00-7:30 pm at Faith Wesleyan Hall in Atkinson, with the auction to follow.
There will be plenty of quality items up for bidding during the live auction, with silent auction and raffle items available as well.
Those wishing to donate directly may do so at Bank First to the "Lloyd Addison Benefit Fund." All of the benefit proceeds will go directly toward helping Pam and Lloyd with expenses, transportation costs, and medical equipment.
Any and all auction item donations are still being taken and welcome. Please call Amy at 605-359-4345 or Alicia at 402-340-5264 for more information.
Lloyd was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma in 2008, and has valiantly battled various trials associated with his diagnosis ever since. On March 16, 2015, another tumor was discovered on his spine. He underwent surgery on March 18th to remove the tumor. The surgery was unsuccessful, and left him paralyzed from the chest down. After a long stay in the hospital, Lloyd is now at home with his family, on hospice services.
