Holt County will be in a winter storm watch from Friday at 6 a.m. to Saturday at noon.

Snow will develop Friday morning over Sheridan and Cherry counties and spread south and east through Saturday morning. Snow accumulations of four to six inches of snow is possible, and north winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts fo 30 mph are expected.

The National Weather Service is warning residents of frigid wind chills which could cause frostbite in as little as 30 minutes to exposed skin.

A combination of snow and strong winds will also make driving conditions across northern Nebraska dangerous.

A winter storm watch means there is a potential for significant snow, sleet or ice. Continue to monitor the latest forecasts and look back for updates.
