Atkinson Falls To Pierce During Class C Area 1 Tournament

Atkinson's momentum took a hit Sunday night as the boys fell to Pierce during the Class C Area 1 Tournament in Creighton.

Atkinson came out swinging at the start of the game, putting up 2 points on the board during the first inning. However, Pierce's defense proved to be a fight, not allowing a single point throughout the rest of the game. Pierce found a hole in Atkinson's defense early on, putting up 5 points in the first three innings and another 2 in the fifth.

Atkinson will move on to play Randolph at 4:00 p.m. on Monday in Creighton.
