A Funeral Mass for Anthony “Tony” Kamphaus, age 79, of Bonesteel, SD, will be Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at 10:30 A.M. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in O’Neill. Burial will be in the O’Neill Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, December 11, 2017, from 5-8 P.M. with a 7:00 P.M. Parish Rosary at Biglin’s Mortuary in O’Neill. Fr. Bernard Starman will officiate. Tony passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2017, at the O’Neill Care and Rehabilitation Center in O’Neill. Memorials may be made to Omaha Nebraska Office of the American Diabetes Association. Anthony Matthew Kamphaus was born on March 16, 1938 to Joseph and Juliana (Arnberger) Kamphaus in Amelia. He was baptized at St. Joe’s of Amelia and went to Country School 216 south of Amelia. He worked for rancher Ed Heiser of Lynch. Tony started working in 1966 for Chicago/Northwestern Railroad, working for 31 years, moving with the railroad from Norfolk, Wayne, Wall, and Rapid City, back to Bonesteel. He retired in 2003 with several safety awards. Tony liked to tour the Black Hills and attend the yearly railroad meetings. He also enjoyed get togethers with family. He is survived by his brothers and sisters: Genevieve Shaw, Dorothy Summers, Carl Kamphaus and wife Irene, Bernard Kamphaus and wife Jo Ellen, all of O’Neill, NE, Mike Kamphaus and wife Yvonne of Omaha, NE, Frank Kamphaus and wife Diane of Columbus, NE, Paul Kamphaus and wife Carolyn of Omaha, NE, one sister in law, LaVerne Kamphaus of Burwell, NE, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Julie Kamphaus, siblings: Joe Kamphaus and wife Leila, Mary Stewart and husband Jim, John Kamphaus, and Juliana Svatos and husband Leonard, 2 brothers in law; William K. Shaw and Duane G. Summers. Larry Fults, age 81, of Decherd, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Life Care Center of Tullahoma, Tennessee. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching television and travel. Larry is survived by his daughter, Andrea McCallie of Decherd; son, Randall Fults of Decherd; grandchildren, Abagael, Jocelyn, Noah, and Ben; and brother, Bobby Fults of Tullahoma. Larry is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Fults; and mother, Randa Fults. Condolences may be directed to the family at www.snidermemorialfh.com LoRee Anna Wondercheck Mott was born on July 3, 1920 to Frank and Hulda Beulah (Davis) Wondercheck at Atkinson, NE. She attended school at Atkinson and graduated with the Class of 1938. On December 24, 1940 she was united in marriage to Grant Mott in Atkinson. They made their home in Ewing where she helped him on the farm. Grant passed away July 1966. She married Clyde Burge in 1968. She moved to Kearney 1976 and attended Central Community College for dietary school. She worked at the Mother Hull Nursing Home as dietician in Kearney until she retired. LoRee moved back to Ewing on September 2005. She enjoyed embroidery, reading christian books, and was an avid Husker fan. She was a member of WCTU, Church of Nazerene, Jolly Workers Club in Ewing and attended Church of Christ. For the last 5 years resided at the Evergreen in O'Neill, NE. She is survived by daughter: Sharon and husband Lawrence Hinrichsen of Ewing, NE and their children Michael (Leon) Hinrichsen; Jody (Doug) Beed; Judi Sigler, Janeen (Suhas) Joshi; Matt Hinrichsen. Daughter: Tami and husband Rusty Davis of Dallas, TX and their children: Amber (Phil) Lee; Emily (Juan) Contreras; Geoff (Melissa) Davis. Viola Alvena Berns was born on October 2, 1920 in Glidden, Iowa to William and Freda (Hebbel) Berns. She married William O. Fricke in Buffalo, New York on December 14, 1940. Viola is survived by her two children, Bill D. Fricke of O’Neill, Jeannette Eby, and husband, Fred, of O’Neill; nine grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Viola was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill in 2000; five brothers, and five sisters. Memorial Services for Naomi J. Hartigan, age 87, of O’Neill, will be at 10:30 A.M., Monday, November 20, 2017, at the Page United Methodist Church. Memorial Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Naomi was born on March 16, 1930, in Norfolk, NE, to Herbert and Vivian (Cork) Steinberg. She graduated from Page High School, then attended Wayne State College and taught school. She married Paul Hartigan on June 25, 1950, in Page, NE. To this marriage, 2 children were born, Donelle and Bill. Due to Paul working road construction, they lived in Iowa and Illinois until 1971. They then moved southeast of Page and lived on the family farm for many years, until Paul passed away in 1986. She then moved from the farm into Page, where she lived until she moved to the Golden Living Center in 2006. Naomi had many hobbies throughout the years. She wrote for the Page and Orchard news for several years, and also worked helping to plan for the Page Alumni Banquets. Naomi was a member of the Page United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing cards and watching Nebraska Football. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
