Funeral Services for Rose Marie Kizzire, age 86, of O’Neill will be 10:30 AM Friday, February 9, 2018, at the First Christian Church in O’Neill. Burial will follow in the O’Neill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 PM with a 7PM Prayer Service, at Biglin’s Mortuary in O’Neill. 

​Rose passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018, at the O’Neill Care and Rehabilitation Center. Memorials may be give to the church.  Biglin’s Mortuary of O’Neill is in charge of arrangements.

A Funeral Mass for Raymond C. Klabenes, age 89, of Chambers, NE, will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, February 3, 2018, at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, south of O’Neill. Family would appreciate your presence at Raymond’s funeral, but due to the space available at the church, the funeral will be streamed live at the Chambers Community Center. 

​Burial will be in the St. Theresa’s Catholic Cemetery, with Military Honors by the Chambers American Legion Post #320.  Lunch will follow at the Chambers Community Center.  Visitation will be Friday, February 2, 2018, from 5-7 P.M., at Biglin’s Mortuary, then we will move to St. Theresa’s Catholic Church for a Rosary At 7:30 P.M.  Raymond passed away January 31, 2018, at his home.  Memorials may be given to the church or for masses.  Biglin’s Mortuary in O’Neill is in charge of arrangements.

A Memorial Service for Janet Lee (Pinkelman) Potter, age 71, of Ewing, NE, will be 10:30 A.M, Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at The Full Gospel Church in Ewing, NE.  Rev. Wayne Smith will officiate.  A Private Family Inurnment will be in the Ewing City Cemetery at a later date.  Janet passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Avera McKenna Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.  Arrangements are under the direction of Biglin’s Mortuary in O’Neill.  Memorials may be made to the family for future designation.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Lura (Heil) Pinkelman.

Funeral Service for Brenda L. Watson age 68 of Ewing, NE will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the Church of Christ in Ewing with Pastor Wes Thompson, Officiating. Brenda Lea Watson was born on May 16, 1949 to Lester and Opal (Bredehoft) Anson at O'Neill, NE. She attended school at Battle Creek and graduated with the Class of 1968. On April 24, 1970 she was united in marriage to Danny Watson at Battle Creek. They lived in Meadow Grove before moving to Ewing in 1973. She held various jobs, her latest was volunteering at the Sunset Store in Ewing. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, going to concerts, playing cards, having coffee with her friends and spending time with family and grandkids. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Ewing and the Tilden Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by her sons: Mike and wife, Becky Watson of Panama City Beach, FL and Bryan and wife, NaTasha Watson of Bartlett, NE and her 3 grandchildren: Landon and Khole Watson and Zane Watson. Brother: Myron "Mike" and wife, Chris Anson of Norfolk, NE. Sister-in-laws: Judy and husband, Arland Pulley of Tilden, NE; Connie and husband, Tom Rutjens of Tilden, NE; and Pat Anson of Ewing, NE.

Funeral Services for Leona F. Zwingman, age 84 of O’Neill, NE, will be 10:30 AM Monday, January 29, 2018, at the First Christian Church in O’Neill. Burial will follow at 2:30 PM at the St. Bonaventure Catholic Cemetery in Raeville, NE. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3-5 PM at Biglin’s Mortuary in O’Neill with a Prayer Service at 4:30 PM.  Memorials may be given to the family for future designation. Leona passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at her home in O’Neill.


She is survived by her two sons, Dale and wife Sandy Zwingman, Brian Zwingman, both of O’Neill, NE, two sisters, Bonnie Fritz and husband George of Norfolk, NE, Sharon Murphy of O’Neill, NE, one brother, Ron Howard and wife Pam of O’Neill, NE, sister in law, JoAnn Howard of O’Neill and many nieces and nephews


Leona was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Zwingman, parents, Ora and Mary Howard, brothers, Jerome Howard and wife Marilyn, Norman Howard, infant sister, Julia Howard, brother in law, Calvin Murphy and nephew, Calvin Howard.

Rosary at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Ewing, NE.  Fr. She is survived by her children; Karen Bohaty of Norfolk, NE, Shirley Salas and husband Garfield, of LA Cruces, NM, Ron Funk and wife Gloria of Beaumont, TX, Lora Lee Woodard and husband Greg of Elgin, NE, Melanie Funk of Scottsdale, AZ, Beverly Pundsack and husband Gary, of Scottsdale, AZ, Nancy Arp and husband Duane, of Gretna, NE, Dan Funk of Lincoln, NE, 16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, one sister, Rosalie Bartak and Husband Bob of Ewing, NE, one sister-in-law, Patti Spittler of Norfolk, NE, and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass for Maurice Parks, age 85, of O’Neill will be at 10:30 am Monday, January 15, 2018 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in O’Neill.  

Burial will be in the O’Neill Cemetery with Military Rites by the O’Neill American Legion Simonson Post 93. Fr. Bernard Starman will officiate.  

Visitation will be from 3-5 pm Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Biglin’s Mortuary in O’Neill with a 4:30 pm wake service.  

Maurice passed away on Monday, January 8, 2018 at Faith Regional Hospital in Norfolk.  

Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation.  Biglin’s Mortuary in O’Neill is in charge of arrangements. 

Maurice is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marleen Parks of O’Neill; four children, Mary Litz and husband, Dave, of Grand Island, Ed Parks, and wife, Sheila, of Spencer, John Parks of O’Neill, Mike Parks and wife, Deb, of O’Neill; 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; step sister, Phyllis Anderegg and husband, Bob, of California; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
