Dorothy died on December 6, 2015 in Oroville, California. Dorothy Mae Summers was born July 4, 1922, the oldest of eleven children. She and her family worked a farm all of her growing up years. After graduating from high school, Dorothy worked at various office jobs.

Dorothy continued working in a variety of office settings until her retirement in 1984 at which time she took enrichment classes such as needle work and flower arranging; she particularly liked roses. Glenn and Dorothy worked together growing and canning fruits and vegetables that they shared generously with others. She will be remembered for her warm smile and kind heart.
