The Nebraska Department of Roads and the Nebraska State Patrol are pulling all snow plows and law enforcement off of roads due to extreme road conditions.

According to Captain Paul J. Hattan, travel is not recommended and extremely dangerous at this time.

The Nebraska State Patrol is advising all troopers to shelter in place where they can due to the extreme road conditions.

Hatten said the State Patrol is working a single vehicle fatality accident just south of Macy on Highway 75 and an injury accident in Columbus.

According to the NDOR, 18 miles east of Petersburg is completely closed while 13 miles south of Tilden is also closed.

Highway 45 south of Tilden is closed from mile marker 14 to 27 to the 32/45 junction. Highway 32 to Petersburg is closed from marker 0 to 18.
