Funeral Services for Normand W. Reninger, age 90, of Merritt Island, Florida, will be at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, December 6, at the Memorial Baptist Church in Chambers, with burial in the Chambers Cemetery.
Normand passed away on Monday, November 21, 2016 in Cocoa, Florida.
Normand is survived by his wife Jeannene G. Porter, six children, nineteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Normand was born in Chambers, NE, in 1926, to Bill (William) and Lizzie (Elizabeth) Grubb Reninger.
Normand, known as “Pete”, was a graduate of Chambers High School. He was a member of Chambers Baptist Church while he lived at home and attended college at the University of Lincoln, Nebraska, where he graduated with a BS in Electrical Engineering. He also attended Ohio State University obtaining a Master’s in business administration. He spent his career working in the Aerospace industry helping design Navy airplanes like the A3J Vigilante, OV-10 Bronco and B-1 Lancer. In later years, he worked on Department of Defense satellites.
He is best remembered for his love of the water where he was always planning his next excursion with whatever boat he currently owned.
Normand is preceded in death by his parents.
