38 Performers To Take Stage For WHMS Variety Show

​Auditions were recently held for West Holt Medical Services Foundation upcoming Variety Show Fundraiser. Judges Tana O’Neill, Karen Nollette and Jarrod Hamik observed and scored each act based on familiarity with their song/dance/skit, enthusiasm and expression, movement and gestures, keeping with the music, costume, and evidence of preparation. Fourteen acts, a total of thirty-eight performers were given a golden ticket to advance to the live shows March 18 and 19.

This one-of-a-kind production will feature community-wide talent by: Irish dancers Claire Woeppel and Rose Woeppel; Musicians Mitchel Laetsch, EmiLee Walnofer and Sierra Schartz; Solo vocalists Lacey Pollard, Madison Tunender, Ava Hoffman and Sable Davis; Elvis impersonator Bill Fox; Cloggers Jace Gregory, Elley Engelhaupt, Madeline Rentschler, Madalyn Pistulka, Claire Woeppel, Hadleigh Stracke, Emily Summers, Adrianna Mincer, Rose Woeppel, Berkleigh Dvorak, Olivia Rentschler, Leah Pistulka, Kamrynn Slaymaker, Selah Keim, Jadyn Kratz, Reagan Lindsey and Emma Peek; Comedy skit with Maxine Brink, Shirli Pacha, Cindy Kubik, Claranna Witherwax, Shannon Dvorak, Brad Pfeifer and pianist Michelle Laetsch.

The Foundation invites the public to enjoy entertainment for the whole family on Saturday, March 18 at 6:30 p.m. or Sunday, March 19 at 2 p.m. Saturday’s show will begin with a soup & brisket slider supper at 6:30 p.m. provided by Faith Wesleyan’s Men-4-Men Ministries. Performances will follow. Sunday’s show will begin with performances at 2:00 p.m. and feature a dessert bar at intermission provided by West Holt Medical Services employees.

The Variety Show will take place at West Holt High School Lecture Hall - 1000 N. Main Street in Atkinson. A free-will donation of $10 for adults and $5 for kids twelve and younger is suggested at the door. The audience will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite acts by donating $1 per voting ticket. The top three acts with the most votes will win cash prizes – $150 for first place, $100 for second place, and $50 for third place.

Corporate sponsors for the Variety Show include: Gold – The Tri-County Bank, Dvorak Brothers Ranches, Hoffman Law, The Atkinson Graphic, Farmers State Bank, Great Western Bank, Waddell and Reed; Silver – Green Valley Irrigation, Good Samaritan Society, RF Goeke Variety Store, Schmitz Electric; Bronze – Atkinson Family Chiropractic, Keogh Electric, Lech’s Super Saver, McIntosh Jewelry, Something Special by Marilyn/Rossman Sales, Anson’s Feed and Trucking, Atkinson Livestock Market, Braun’s Food Center, First Stop, Flat Iron Bar & Grill, KBRX Radio. Floral arrangements donated by Atkinson Floral and Garden Gate Floral & Gift will be raffled off at the show as prizes for the audience.

Net-proceeds from this event will be used to provide scholarships to local student through the Scholarship and Staff Education Fund at West Holt Medical Services Foundation. You can help the Foundation continue this legacy by attending their Variety Show Fundraiser March 18 and 19.
